With the purpose of enhancing
ˇ° Safe navigation of vessels and prevention of marine
accidents in the seaˇ± , Korea Ocean Development
Co.,Ltd.(ˇ°KODˇ±) has devoted itself to the Nautical
charts & publications, and navigation-related
fields sine 1973 when the Company launched ˇ°The
agency of Nautical & publication and reproductionˇ±,
appointed by the National Oceanographic Research
Institute under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs
& Fisheries. KOD is responsible for spreading
Nautical charts and publications worldwide on a
contractual basis with maritime organization as
well as hydrographic office in several country.

Also with electronic navigational charts (ENCs) becoming
more popular, KOD, aiming to provide total serivice,
is making an effort to not only supply domestic coast
ENCs published by the National Oceanographic Research
Institute and international ENCs through contracts with
the United Kingdom, Singapore and International Center
for ENCs, but also take part in chart manufacturing
and related business.
